24 hours, 10 men, 9 charities, 3 mountains
Here at the Parkside Medical Centre we are supporting our Marketing Manager, Paul Harvey, in the 3 Peaks Challenge this weekend by becoming a team member sponsor.
Paul is one of a team of ten intrepid members set to take on one of the toughest physical challenges in the country - and raise thousands of pounds for local charities.
This weekend's challenge will entail climbing the highest peaks in England (Scafell Pike), Scotland (Ben Nevis) and Wales (Snowdon) in the space of 24 hours. Not only does this involve three incredible ascents totalling 3km vertically but driving 480 miles into the bargain!
The team have been training together over the last nine months and are aiming to raise as much money as possible for 9 charities across the South East. These include Golden Lion Children's Trust, NSPCC, St Catherines Hospice, The National Centre for Young People with Epilepsy (NCYPE) and The Olive Tree Cancer Support Centre.
